Bio

Andrew Karl Francois Amelinckx grew up in Louisiana. He moved from NYC to the Hudson Valley in the fall of 2006 where he lives with his wife and dogs, Boo and Bingo.

Andrew is a crime reporter for the Berkshire Eagle in Pittsfield, MA., and a freelance writer. He also co-produces a monthly radio show, "Difficult History" on WGXC, a community radio station serving New York's Hudson Valley.

He currently serves on the editorial board of the Columbia County Historical Society's "History and Heritage" magazine.

Andrew has lectured on local history as well as on the relationship between journalists and the police for various organizations, including the Greenport Historic Society and Columbia-Greene Community College.
